Leonard HVAC grew one honest service call at a time in communities like New Hartford. We invest in ongoing training so our techs recognize a failing capacitor, a cracked heat exchanger, or a refrigerant leak before it turns into an emergency.
We're not the biggest name in New Hartford — we're the team that shows up in the truck, not a subcontractor we've never met. Licensing and insurance aren't optional line items for us, and we keep that documentation available on request for every job, routine or emergency.
New Hartford's climate swings hard, and generic national playbooks don't always fit. That local knowledge shapes how we diagnose problems — it's the difference between a tech who's guessing and a tech who's seen your exact situation a hundred times before.
Too many homeowners in New Hartford have a story about a tech who showed up late, quoted one price, and charged another. That's the gap we built Leonard HVAC to close. We track arrival windows, callback rates, and repeat-issue complaints internally so problems get caught before they become patterns, because a customer who trusts us once tends to call us again — and New Hartford is a small enough community that reputation travels fast.
Our office team is based locally too, not routed through an out-of-state call center that's never seen a New Hartford rooftop unit. Our warranty and service history records stay attached to your address, so any future technician who visits already has the full picture.
Every service below is backed by the same licensing, warranty, and upfront pricing you get on any job we run.
Breakdowns rarely happen at a convenient time, which is exactly why our emergency line runs 24 hours a day. Our New Hartford dispatch team prioritizes no-heat and no-cooling calls so a technician is diagnosing your system as fast as physically possible.
We keep the truck stocked with the parts that fail most often on the equipment common to New Hartford homes, which is exactly why most repairs don't require a return visit.
Not every repair call ends in a repair — sometimes the honest recommendation is a properly sized replacement. We walk New Hartford homeowners through financing and rebate options where available before a single piece of equipment gets ordered.
We protect floors and entryways during the install and haul away the old equipment so you're not left dealing with disposal.
Commercial equipment operates differently than a residential unit, and it needs technicians who actually understand rooftop packages and multi-zone systems. Our commercial division services multi-zone commercial buildouts across New Hartford, with priority response for facilities that can't afford downtime.
Our commercial techs are trained to work around your customers and staff, scheduling noisy or disruptive work outside peak hours whenever possible.
Preventive maintenance is the cheapest repair you'll ever pay for, because it's the one that prevents the bigger bill. Beyond standard tune-ups, we also handle indoor air quality upgrades for homes with allergy or asthma concerns for New Hartford households that want more than just temperature control.
Maintenance plan members in New Hartford get scheduling reminders automatically, so tune-ups don't fall through the cracks during a busy season.
Guarantees only mean something if a company actually honors them, so here's exactly what ours covers.
If the same issue returns within the warranty period, we come back and fix it at no additional labor cost.
We quote a flat rate before work begins and that number doesn't change once you approve it.
A technician doesn't consider the job done until the system is tested and performing correctly.
A little attention to how your system is running can save you a lot of money and discomfort.
Ignoring new noises is one of the fastest ways to turn a small repair into a major one.
Weak airflow from the vents often traces back to a clogged filter, a failing blower motor, or leaking ductwork.
A system working harder than it should to hit the same temperature shows up directly on your utility bill.
Short cycling puts extra wear on the compressor and shortens the system's overall lifespan.
A burning smell should never be ignored — it can indicate an electrical issue that needs immediate attention.
We'll always tell you honestly when a repair is the better call versus when it isn't.
We explain diagnostic fees and repair estimates before authorizing work.
Dispatchers give you a realistic arrival window instead of a vague "sometime today".
If something isn't right after we leave, we come back and make it right.
Our techs recognize brand-specific quirks instead of learning your system on the job.
You make the final call — we just make sure you have the full picture.
Replacement systems don't have to be paid in one lump sum.

After thousands of service calls across New Hartford, a handful of causes show up again and again.
Homeowners who schedule a tune-up ahead of each season tend to call us far less often for emergency repairs. Before the coldest stretch of the year, a heating system benefits from a full safety inspection, checking the heat exchanger, ignition system, and airflow to catch any issue that could turn into a no-heat emergency.
Clearing debris, leaves, and overgrown landscaping away from an outdoor condenser unit gives it room to breathe and keeps it running efficiently. None of this replaces a professional tune-up, but it does reduce the wear that leads to premature breakdowns between visits.
Our technicians train across the major residential and commercial equipment lines, so you're not limited to a single brand's service network. If your system was installed by a different company entirely, that's not a problem — we service equipment regardless of who originally put it in, and we'll pull the model and serial information to confirm parts compatibility before any repair begins.
